Delete your account

How to delete your account in Riffalong, the app from Meline LLC, and what happens to your information.

In the app

1. Open Riffalong and go to Account. It's the person button in your library on a phone or Mac. On Windows, choose You, then Account.
2. Choose Delete account, then confirm. Your account is deleted right away.

By email

Don't have the app anymore? Email support@riffalong.com from your account's address and ask us to delete it. We'll write back when it's done.

Before you delete it

A subscription bought through our website is cancelled when you delete your account. An App Store or Google Play subscription keeps billing until you cancel it there, so cancel it first.

What's deleted

• Your account, your email address and your sign-ins
• The devices linked to your account
• The listening history and libraries you've linked
• Charts and corrections you've shared
• Your subscription records and any free Pro

What's kept

• Backups: copies of our database stay in backups for up to 42 days, then they're deleted.
• Your songs and practice: these are on your own device, not on our servers, and on iPhone your practice is also in your own iCloud. They stay until you remove them.
• The song catalogue: the artists and titles of songs players have added stay in Riffalong's shared catalogue, but nothing in it points to you anymore.
• Usage analytics: records of how the app was used, under a random ID rather than your email address, are kept for up to 1 year.
• Payment records: Stripe, Apple and Google keep their own records of what you paid.
• The waitlist: if you joined it on this site, that's separate from your account. Email us and we'll remove you.
• Legal records: anything we're required to keep by law, for as long as the law requires.
